HK condemns new round of US tariff
It will result in a cumulative 20% duty.
The government has condemned the United State’s imposition of another 10% duty on products from Hong Kong, resulting in a cumulative 20% duty.
It added that the measure is grossly inconsistent with the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) rules, undermines the rules-based multilateral trading system, and harms the interests of both Hong Kong and the US.
The government urged the US to withdraw its unilateral tariff measures immediately. It said it would also file a complaint with the WTO to defend Hong Kong’s legitimate rights.
