Gov't begins Trade Single Window Phase 2

The second phase would cover new trade documents and incorporate new functions.

The government has launched the second phase of the Trade Single Window scheme to cover up to 28 types of trade documents on a one-stop electronic platform.

The trade platform's first phase will at first cover fourteen trade documents, including licences to import, export, or re-export for endangered species. The second phase would extensively cover the other half.

The scheme's second phase would also incorporate new functions, including advanced account management functions, full support for the iAM Smart platform, seamless interface with information systems of relevant government departments, provision of notification services, and operations that allow bulk submissions.

The city government said trade members could use the services voluntarily to submit business-to-government trade documents for trade declaration and cargo clearance.

They could also continue using existing channels that departments provided for submitting documents.
