Government to expand support for Mainland firms going global
The GoGlobal Task Force will continue to coordinate with key agencies.
Hong Kong plans to strengthen support for Mainland companies expanding overseas by widening services covering market analysis, financing, legal services, risk management, and supply chains.
In the First Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development released on 16 September, the government outlined measures to develop a high value-added supply chain services centre.
The GoGlobal Task Force, established in 2025, will continue to coordinate with Economic and Trade Offices, Invest Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
It will work with Mainland authorities and business organisations to expand overseas service points and provide one-stop professional services to firms seeking to establish operations overseas.
Hong Kong will establish a two-way platform for overseas enterprises entering the Mainland market and vice versa, coordinating support across finance, legal and dispute resolution, accounting, logistics, insurance, testing, and certification.
This will include contract management and cross-border legal services, supported by Hong Kong’s common law system and international legal expertise.
It will also expand testing and international certification services.
The government plans to help companies raise capital and list in the city, whilst providing cross-border trade financing and risk management services.
