Exports to Mainland down 9.2% to $150.6b in Q3

This accounts for 25.6% of the total exports.

Hong Kong’s total exports to Mainland China for outward processing dipped 9.2% YoY in Q3 to $150.6b, whilst re-exports slid 12.6% YoY to $228.4b, according to the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD).

Meanwhile, imports from Mainland were valued at $200.3b

A quarter, or 25.6% of the total exports to the mainland were for outward processing in the Mainland. On the import side, 37.4% of Hong Kong's total imports are from the mainland. It also account for 70% of the region's re-exports.

As for the 9M period, Hong Kong exports to Mainland are valued at $414.1b, showing a 8.1% YoY dip and accounting for 25.9% of the total figure. Imports from Mainland also fell 5.5% YoY to $586.8b and re-exports slipped 6.9% to $663.6b over the same period.
