Exports and imports rise double digits in April

Vietnam led export and import volume growth.

Exports and imports rose 12.3% year-on-year (YoY) and 13.4% YoY in April, respectively.

The Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) reported export volume growth to all main destinations, led by Vietnam, with a 45.3% YoY rise.

India, the mainland, and Taiwan followed with respective year-on-year rises of 23.2%, 20.2%, and 18.2%, while the US saw a modest 0.3% gain.

Vietnam also led import volume growth at 93.6%, followed by Taiwan (41.8%), the mainland (14.5%), and Singapore (5%).
