December building unit deals reach $65b total consideration

Building sales surged 63% compared to December 2024

The Land Registry recorded 8,999 sale and purchase agreements for building units in December 2025, marking a 26.4% increase from November and a 63.3% rise compared with December 2024.

The total consideration for these agreements reached $65b, up 11.3% month on month and 52% year on year.

Residential units accounted for 5,883 agreements, a 5.3% increase from November and a 43.4% jump from December 2024.

The total consideration for residential sales was $51.2b, slightly down 0.9% from the previous month but 57.3% higher than the same month in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Land Registry reported 377,908 land register searches last month, reflecting continued strong public and investor interest in the property market, according to the department’s press statement.
