AIIB to open Hong Kong office amidst regional expansion
The new office will deepen its regional financing activity.
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will open an office in Hong Kong to expand its operations across Asia, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government said in a press release.
The Government will assist AIIB in establishing the office and using the city’s financial and professional services to support its regional work. Hong Kong, a member of AIIB since 2017, has participated in several infrastructure and green investment projects.
The office will enhance AIIB’s regional financing and investment activities and strengthen Hong Kong’s role in Asia’s capital markets.
The Government said further details on the office’s establishment will be announced in due course.
