Nearly 65% of retailers utilise marketplaces

Only around 40% of retailers use their websites to sell.

Most retailers in Hong Kong, or 64%, utilise marketplaces to sell their products, accordint to a report by Asendia.

This is higher compared to the 40% that use their websites.

APAC retailers including Hong Kong are focusing on speed and returns, with 30% of them now offering “returnless returns,” where customers are refunded without sending items back, 39% are planning to adopt the model soon.

 Moreover, retailers in Hong Kong are facing the most pressure cutting emissions, with 58% of them hoping to make sustainable choices, but the infrastructure is not yet in place, said the report.

In terms of destination, East Asia is considered the most promising place for growth according to 40% of APAC retailers including Hong Kong, followed by Southeast Asia and South Asia.

Despite recent trade tensions, 80% of the retailers remain confident they will grow international sales this year.
