Wai Chi-sing reappointed as URA head

Wai will extend his term for three years starting 15 June.

Wai Chi-sing has been reappointed as Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Managing Director by Chief Executive Carrie Lam.

With his reappointment, Wai will serve URA for three more years starting 15 June.

Apart from Wai, URA also welcomed Carolin Fong as its new executive director.

Fong will also serve a three-year term and will begin her stint in the URA on 3 October.

Fong will be assisting Wai in overseeing the authority’s work on building rehabilitation, acquisition and clearance, works and contracts, and legal matters.

"The Government looks forward to working with Ms Fong to inject new ideas and impetus into the URA to expedite urban renewal work," Secretary for Development Michael Wong said.
