Urban renewal draft plan for Sai Yee Street, Flower Market Road approved

The plan covers about 29,315 square metres

The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft Development Scheme Plan (DSP) for the Sai Yee Street and Flower Market Road redevelopment.

According to the Town Planning Board, the DSP provides a statutory land use planning framework to guide the redevelopment’s implementation. The project area spans approximately 29,315 square metres and is zoned as "Other Specified Use" with annotations for "Mixed Use (1)" and "Mixed Use (2)".

Using a “linked-site” and “Single Site, Multiple Use” approach, the plan aims to redevelop existing government, Institution or Community (G/IC) facilities and nearby areas into a comprehensive mixed-use development.

The project will include residential, hotel, office, retail, G/IC, cultural, recreational, and entertainment uses, along with a large public open space.
