
Building transactions in second half of 2010 down 18%
The transactions’ total consideration for the period was down 2.2% to $370.14bn.
The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2011 was 70,342, down 17.7% on the second half of 2010, and a drop of 9% year on year.
The Land Registry said the total consideration for these agreements for the period was $370.14 billion, a decrease of 2.2% on the second half of 2010, but up 19% year on year.
The number of assignments of building units was 86,354, down 14.8% on the second half of 2010 but up 1% year on year, according to a Land Registry report.
The total consideration for these assignments was $392.16 billion, up 5.8% on the second half of 2010 and 23.9% year on year.
