Landing International Development's $1.5b casino project greenlit

It will be built in Entertainment City, Manila.

Reuters reports that the Philippine gaming regulator has issued a provisional license for the $1.5b casino project of Landing International Development Ltd. in Entertainment City, Manila.

Total investment for the integrated casino-resort is at US$1.5b which the company says will be funded by internal resources and debt financing.

Ground breaking for the casino is scheduled in August whilst the facility can start operations by 2022.

The establishment will mark the fifth casino project in the Philippines as the country aims to Chinese high-rollers in light of warmer ties between Beijing and Manila.
