Buildings Department approved 20 building plans in November

New buildings were valued at $1.4b in November.

The Buildings Department has approved 20 building plans in November to provide greater leasing space for both commercial, industrial and community service developments. 

According to a government press release, six buildings are to be constructed on Hong Kong Island and seven each in Kowloon and New Territories. 

Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects that will provide 19,981 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 644 units, and 117,474 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

The overall cost of completed new buildings in November was valued at $4.1b.
