8 building plans approved in February
Total cost of new buildings is at $230 million.
According to a report, the Buildings Department approved eight building plans in February, with two on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
Five were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, two were for commercial developments, and one was for a community services development.
Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects that, when completed, will provide 105,458 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,554 units, and 17,844 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department has received notification of commencement of work for seven building projects.
The department also issued 10 occupation permits, with two on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor area for domestic use was 2,033 square metres, involving 25 units, and 26,188 square metres for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in December totalled about $230 million.
The department received 2,846 reports about unauthorised building works in February, and issued 759 removal orders on unauthorised works.
