23 building plans approved in January

More than half were for apartment developments.

The Buildings Department approved 23 building plans in January, according to a government press release, with thirteen for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, seven for purely commercial developments, two for factory and industrial developments, and one for community services developments.

Eleven of the building plans are set in Kowloon, 7 on Hong Kong Island and 5 in New Territories. 

The authority also issued consent for construction works to start on 10 building projects that will provide 199,859 sqm for domestic use, involving 3,259 units, and 62,932 sqm for non-domestic use.
