20 building plans approved in December

The Buildings Department approved 20 buildings plans in December, nine of which were for apartment and commercial developments, five for commercial developments, five for community services developments and one for factory developments.

According to a press release, building plans in New Territories accounted for the largest share at nine followed by six in Kowloon and five on Hong Kong Island. 

Over the same period, the BD also issued consent for work to start on 14 building projects that will provide 97,909 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use and 43 719 sqm of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
