Guerlain(Asia Pacific) Limited gains Digital - Beauty & Cosmetics award at HKB TEA

The brand was recognized for its iconic Bee Garden and #BeeLoveBeloved journey.

Guerlain(Asia Pacific) Limited has bagged the Digital - Beauty & Cosmetics trophy at the recently concluded HKB Technology Excellence Awards 2020, presented by Hong Kong Business magazine.

Now in its second year, the awards event lauds enterprises that take the leap and take the lead in engineering trailblazing projects, virtual services, reconstructed strategies, and technological innovations.

The brand was recognized for its iconic Bee Garden held on the same day as the ‘World Bee Day’ on 20 May. The programme was held in the heart of Causeway Bay, decked out in Fashion Walk, inviting everyone in town to take a break from the busy streets and join the #BeeLoveBeloved journey.

The #BeeLoveBeloved journey begins with a showcase of GUERLAIN’s commitment to bees’ preservation. Being GUERLAIN’s first Hong Kong pop-up store, customers can get their hands on a range of Abeille Royale products from the tranquil island of Ouessant, and other intriguing creations, in the presence of GUERLAIN’s professional beauty consultants.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the signature Abeille Royale Collection, as well as the 12th year of GUERLAIN’s involvement in sustainable development with biodiversity, eco-design, climate, and solidarity as the four core commitments that drive the brand to ensure the sustainability of ecosystems.

The firm strives to convey eternal beauty at the heart of nature, aiming to take positive energy far and wide. Its relentless efforts have placed GUERLAIN as one of the world’s leading corporations in the region.

Not only is the bee GUERLAIN’s iconic emblem of the company for over a century, but it is also the inspiration behind its signature Abeille Royale Collection. GUERLAIN firmly believes that bee products make some of the most effective ingredients to boost cell recovery. Its dedicated research team began looking into the benefits of pure honey and royal jelly 12 years ago and had come up with the Abeille Royale range.

Native to the island of Ouessant in France, the unique species of Black Bees are the chosen ones, with Ouessant Island being one of the few natural reserves in the world.

With responsible sourcing in mind, the House of GUERLAIN has been working hand in hand with Brittany Black Bee Conservatory Association in developing a sustainable research and philanthropy partnership, to ensure the sustainability of Black Bees. This partnership is also the hero behind the stock of hives in other ecoregions across Europe. 

The HKB Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Hong Kong Business, was held via video conferencing throughout the month of September.

This year’s nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Gilles Alexandre Salansy, Partner, Accounting and Outsourcing at Mazars Hong Kong; Jason Yau, Partner, Technology and Management Consulting at RSM Hong Kong; Douglas Kwan, Partner, Assurance and Advisory Services at SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited; Steve Lo, Partner and Asia-Pacific Chief Innovation Officer at Ernst & Young; and Loretta Fong, Partner and Telecommunications Leader at PwC Hong Kong.
