Vistra brings home win at Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for unified client platform

Its Global Expansion Platform integrates data, documents, service requests, and AI to enhance client engagement and efficiency across over 300 jurisdictions.

Financial services company Vistra bagged a win at the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2025 in the Software - Business Services category for its modern digital platform Global Expansion Platform (GEP), designed to streamline entity management, automate compliance, and centralise global operations.

GEP transforms how multinational companies manage legal entities across more than 300 jurisdictions by centralising entity governance into a single, client-facing interface. Developed on AWS using modern technology stacks, GEP empowers clients to view, manage, and take action on their cross-border operations with greater transparency, control, and speed.

The platform offers structured entity data and real-time compliance status, interactive organisational maps for visualising group structures, secure document management with advanced access controls, a client-facing service request tracker to manage ongoing tasks, an embedded artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to guide users through complex regulatory questions, and embedded finance tools that enable seamless payments and FX execution.

Vistra created GEP to simplify entity governance, reduce operational risk, and unlock new value for global clients. The platform also plays a strategic role in broadening digital engagement — enabling upsell pathways such as onboarding of non-managed entities and offering clients more intuitive ways to interact.

Since its development, it has enabled improved client onboarding, faster response cycles, and increased automation in key compliance processes. The combination of embedded AI and integrated workflows has helped Vistra deliver more proactive, tech-enabled services.

GEP’s roadmap reflects Vistra’s broader ambition to become a truly tech-enabled services firm. With a target of 50,000 active entities and over 5,000 monthly active users by end-2026, the platform is poised to scale rapidly whilst continuing to deliver measurable improvements in client experience, internal efficiency, and operational excellence.
