Shing Hing clinches win for digital transformation initiatives at HKB Greater Bay Area Enterprise Awards 2024

It has introduced technologies to monitor and supervise the operations of its factories.

Toy manufacturing company Shing Hing bagged the Manufacturing category win at the recently held HKB Greater Bay Area Enterprise Awards 2024 for its several initiatives that stemmed from its digital transformation journey in 2016.

The company has successfully implemented remote management technologies, allowing its management team to remotely monitor and supervise the operations of its first and second factories located in Dongguan, as well as its newly established factory in Malaysia. Furthermore, integrating practical applications such as robotics, vision sensors systems, and human-machine interfaces within the factories has proven highly effective.

As an Original Brand Manufacturer (OBM) toy company, Shing Hing places paramount importance on delivering high-quality and safe toy products. With ISO 14006 eco-design and manufacturing systems as its guiding principles, the company places a premium on using non-toxic and medical-grade materials.

With support from the Hong Kong Productivity Council, it has achieved a significant milestone in 2022 by becoming the first OBM toy company in the Greater Bay Area to attain Industry 4.0 Level 1 maturity recognition.

By embracing cutting-edge technologies such as Industrial 4.0 management concepts, digital performance management, and ISO 14006 eco-design and manufacturing systems, Shing Hing has progressively transitioned towards a high-value product development and manufacturing model. This strategic shift has not only enhanced production capacity and economic efficiency, but has also minimised resource consumption and environmental pollution.

Shing Hing has also developed its software system, enabling software sales and consulting services. This new business opportunity allows the company to assist customers in deploying Industry 4.0 solutions, further expanding its offerings, and establishing itself as a trusted partner in the digitalisation journey.
