Fidelity International takes home two wins at Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2025

The leading financial services provider received the Mobile - Financial Services and Digital - Financial Services awards.

Fidelity International has been recognised at the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its remarkable progress in enhancing digital experiences aimed at supporting lifelong investment journeys. The firm has played a pivotal role in assisting clients to build stronger financial futures by introducing new digital features and engagement initiatives that guide them throughout their investment journey.

With an unwavering commitment to innovation and client-centricity, Fidelity has improved its SmartRetire mobile app by launching the Fund Explorer. Moreover, it introduced an interactive "2Gather" campaign, allowing clients to enjoy incentives whilst exploring various investment options.

In response to the growing demand for swift and straightforward access to investment information, Fidelity launched the Fund Explorer in 2024. This tool enables clients to discover popular and high-performing funds, track and analyse funds across different sectors, regions, and asset classes, and create a personalised "Watchlist" for continuous monitoring. These enhancements make it easier to navigate market uncertainties and streamline internal data management.

Additionally, Fidelity has promoted its tax-saving pension products in the first quarter of 2025 through the "2Gather" campaign. This initiative encourages clients to collaborate with friends or family to enter a lucky draw, with paired participants contributing the maximum tax-deductible amount receiving tiered rewards such as bonus unit rebates. With convenience at the forefront, the company ensures that everything is easily managed through the mobile app. The campaign was widely promoted through electronic direct mail, social media, and digital advertising, presenting a refreshing and engaging approach to Fidelity’s offerings.

Since the introduction of the Fund Explorer, it has attracted significant attention, with a large proportion of app users browsing Fidelity funds and delving into detailed fund information. Visits to fund pages have steadily increased in the first quarter of 2025. Similarly, the "2Gather" campaign has achieved impressive results, with a considerable number of participants joining the lucky draw, a substantial year-on-year growth in new account openings, and a notable increase in inflows from new accounts year-on-year.

As the wealth and retirement landscape continues to evolve, Fidelity remains adaptable, ensuring its digital innovations are designed not just to inform but also to empower clients to take control of their financial futures.
