Dell Technologies has snatched a win in the Data Centre - Technology category at the recently held Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2022 for its provision of a tailored hyper-converged infrastructure solution to a business client, a world-leading paper and pulp manufacturer listed in Hong Kong. Dell facilitated the client to create a modern data centre from core to edge.

As assistance, Dell has provided the client with its reliable solutions, which include VxRail with Dell Unity 380, VMware vSphere, and a Tanzu License along with the backup server, together enabling the customer to collect, store, protect, and utilise data more effectively and systematically.

Implementing Dell’s advanced solutions and services enabled the client to enhance its data storage and protection system to fulfil the evolving regulatory requirements and achieve its ambitious business expansion plan in the Asia Pacific.

The company’s data centre is empowered with enhanced backup and protection capabilities to handle and manage its enormous data loads, with a huge amount of fragmented data from numerous different sources and in a variety of formats. 

As a result, the response time of the company’s business operating system has been greatly improved, with an estimated performance gain of +30%, as per the quote by the client. Allowing the company to operate more efficiently and effectively whilst accelerating digital transformation and growing its business, all in a cost-effective way.
