CTF Life creates ‘Value Beyond Insurance’ through hyper-personalised customer experiences

Its Clienteling solution leverages data technologies to achieve strong business results

Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance Company Limited (CTF Life) is proud of its rich, nearly 40-year legacy in Hong Kong. CTF Life is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NWS Holdings Limited and one of the most well-established life insurance companies in Hong Kong.

As a member of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited, CTF Life consistently strengthens its collaboration with the diverse conglomerate of the Cheng family (Chow Tai Fook Group or “the Group”) to support customers and their loved ones in navigating life’s journey with personalised planning solutions, lifelong protection and diverse lifestyle experiences.

By leveraging the Group’s robust financial strength and strategic investments across the globe, CTF Life aspires to become a leading insurance company in the Greater Bay Area while continuously creating value beyond insurance.

To achieve this, CTF Life is on its digital transformation journey to enhance customer-agent interactions by utilising data technologies such as machine learning to create hyper-personalised customer experiences. The company’s first digital product is an innovative mobile Clienteling solution that empowers Life Planners to better understand customer needs through data and analytics, anytime and anywhere.

By harnessing the Group’s extensive resources, the Clienteling solution not only enables real-time collection and analysis of insurance and digital data but also utilises customers' life footprint to provide deeper insights, enabling Life Planners to offer tailored products and services at the right time.

Since the introduction of the Clienteling solution, CTF Life has seen significant adoption across the Life Planner community, resulting in a substantial increase in annualised first-year commission, policy case size, and policy case count amongst active users.

Looking ahead, the company aims to continue providing forward-looking, diversified insurance and financial planning products and services to meet the needs of customers in every chapter of their life journey.

“The digital transformation strategy at CTF Life is essential for the company to remain competitive. Our digital transformation strategy not only looks at innovating with technologies but also transforming the culture and the way people work within the company,” said Derek Ip, Chief Digital and Technology Officer of CTF Life.

CTF Life’s efforts in helping customers realise their life goals has been commended by the recent HKB Technology Excellence Awards 2024, with the company bringing home the win in the Data - Insurance category.

The prestigious award celebrates innovation and excellence in Hong Kong's dynamic tech landscape, highlighting companies at the forefront of technological advancements in their respective industries.
