BRI Global Financial Services wins at Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2026

Indonesian domestic helpers in Hong Kong are empowered by seamless remittance and direct home-country financial services.

BRI Global Financial Services won Fintech - Remittance and Mobile - Financial Services in the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for its mobile application, remit.go!.

The application serves the underbanked community of Indonesian domestic helpers in Hong Kong. Developed by BRI Global Financial Services, a licensed MSO and subsidiary of Indonesia’s largest state-owned bank, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), remit.go! is the first Indonesian-linked mobile platform in Hong Kong to provide app-based remittances with real-time crediting and financial value added services.

To eliminate physical branch visits, the application embeds artificial intelligence features for biometric liveness detection and computer vision document verification. The platform connects directly to BRI’s banking system via a native API, enabling immediate beneficiary crediting. Users can access their Indonesian bank accounts from Hong Kong, perform real-time balance checks in Rupiah, retrieve statements, and complete internal fund transfers. 

The interface operates entirely in Bahasa Indonesia, replacing conventional financial terminology with accessible language shaped directly by user feedback. Security processes and automated transaction monitoring enforce compliance with local regulatory requirements without manual intervention.

It experienced rapid adoption, exceeding its user growth targets and recording significant increases in transaction volume. User engagement remains strong, supported by high retention rates across the platform. By offering lower fees compared to market averages, the application delivers substantial annual financial savings directly to its active users.
