HKPC, HIT ink MOU on U&T development in environmental engineering

The collaboration will bring new opportunities for green development in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) State Key Lab signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on innovation and technology (I&T) development in the field of environmental engineering.

The partnership aims to establish joint research laboratories or innovation centres promoting I&T development for environmental engineering in both Hong Kong and the Mainland.

The partnership also includes the joint application and execution of environmental R&D and engineering consulting projects annually.

The partners will also organise environmental technology-related training annually to introduce environmental engineering technologies and policies of Hong Kong and the Mainland.

The scope of the training includes AI, new industrialisation, carbon neutrality, green technologies, and ESG.

The collaboration will bring new opportunities for green development in both regions.
