Government explores collaboration on harbourfront sites

Said sites are on the northern shore of Hong Kong Island for potential development by public-private collaboration.

At the moment “the Government is planning to develop a temporary waterfront promenade on Hoi Yu Street in Quarry Bay, at two adjoining sites, and the nearby site above the Eastern Harbour Crossing exit by way of public-private collaboration,” according to news.gov.hk.

The Government is also said to be planning to develop some of the eight key sites on the new Central harbourfront by way of public-private collaboration. This approach, according to Secretary for Development Carrie Lam, will hopefully capture the creativity and expertise of the private sector for more innovative design options.
