Cathay Pacific’s passenger volume soars 66.4% YoY in January 2024

The airline carried 1.7 million passengers during the month.

Cathay Pacific saw a 66.4% YoY uptick in its passenger volume in January 2024, carrying 1.7 million passengers last month. 

Apart from passenger volume, the airline’s revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) also increased, rising 56.7% YoY.

The airline group’s available seat kilometres also increased, rising by 64.2 YoY.

On the other hand, the airline’s passenger load factor (PLF) dropped by 4 percentage points (pp) YoY to 82.8% YoY.

Meanwhile, the airline’s cargo businesses reported positive volume growth, with total cargo carried rising 20.7% YoY to 114,790 tonnes.
