Cathay Pacific’s passenger volume soars 480.1% YoY in September

The airline carried 1.5 million passengers during the month.

Cathay Pacific saw a 480.1% YoY uptick in its passenger volume in September, carrying 1.5 million passengers last month. 

Apart from passenger volume, the airline’s revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) also increased, soaring 316% YoY.

The airline group’s passenger load factor (PLF) and capacity measured in available seat kilometres also increased, rising by 11.2 percentage points (pp) YoY to 83.7% and 260.4 YoY, respectively.

Meanwhile, the airline’s cargo businesses reported positive volume growth, with total cargo carried rising 15.3% YoY to 119,963 tonnes.
