
Cathay Pacific sees 36.3% YoY rise in April passenger volume
HK Express carried over 690,000 passengers.
Cathay Pacific carried 36.3% more passengers in April compared to the same period last year, whilst Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) rose by 27.1%.
In the first four months of 2025, the flag carrier's total passenger count increased by 26.6% year-on-year (YoY).
Meanwhile, its budget airline arm, HK Express, carried over 690,000 passengers in April, marking a 47.4% YoY increase.
ASKs also grew by 42%. Over the first four months of 2025, HK Express saw a 37.6% YoY rise in passenger numbers.
Cathay Cargo also recorded strong growth, handling 13.6% more cargo in April than in the same month last year.
Available Freight Tonne Kilometres increased by 8.9%, whilst the load factor declined by 1.1 percentage points YoY. In the first four months of 2025, total cargo tonnage rose by 12.4% YoY.
