Cathay Cargo first to use IATA One Record data protocol
ONE Record enables end-to-end transparency for consignments.
Cathay Cargo has become the first carrier to adopt the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) ONE Record data protocol—one year ahead of IATA’s target date for its implementation.
ONE Record enables end-to-end transparency for consignments, logging progress as they pass through multiple links, following IATA’s application programme interface protocols which allow users to connect to the system and securely share data.
This enables all stakeholders in the shipment process to extract data from ONE Record beyond the standard departure and arrival data derived from CIMP (Cargo Interchange Message Procedure).
With ONE Record, multi-dimensional data from Cathay Cargo’s Ultra Track solution such as temperature and geolocation can be accessed, also applying to data from cooltainers with data transmitters.
