Tiger Air Philippines to fly Kalibo-Hong Kong route

Will open route in a few months.

CEO Olive Ramos said servicing the Kalibo to Hong Kong route is part of their effort to bring more tourists to Boracay and to make the province of Aklan a destination in itself.

“Boracay has been named the World’s Best Island Destination in 2012 by Travel+ Leisure Magazine that is why we are pursuing more direct flights to Kalibo, so that international tourists do not have to pass by the congested airports in Manila,” she said.

By opening direct routes from Singapore and Hong Kong, budget airline Tiger Air Philippines is targeting not only residents but the entire region since the two cities are considered central hubs in Asia.

Tiger Air Philippines will also open its Kalibo-to Singapore run on July 18, making it the first carrier to fly this route.

As the newest value-for-market airline, Tiger Air Philippines is building on the name and reputation of Tiger Air and intends to be known for its standard of safety, reliability and seamless customer experience, said Ramos.
