Dragonair flights to resume gradually today

Resumption starts 12 noon.

In a release, Dragonair today (Monday, 23 September) announced that as Typhoon Usagi is moving away from Hong Kong, the airline will gradually resume flight services from 12 noon today, weather and safety conditions permitting.

It is anticipated that flights may still be delayed or disrupted today due to the impact of the adverse weather and operational constraints. The airline regrets any inconvenience this may cause and hopes for passengers’ understanding.

Passengers without confirmed bookings or whose flights have been cancelled are advised not to go Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as the chance of securing a seat on a standby basis at the check-in counters is very low.

The airline is actively making alternative arrangements for those whose flights have been cancelled. Passengers should check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.dragonair.com, before departing for the airport.

Meanwhile, those with confirmed bookings are advised not to arrive at the airport more than three hours before the estimated departure time of their flight.

Dragonair will waive re-booking fees for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 20 September for travel on its flights between 22 September (Hong Kong time) and 24 September.

To ensure they receive the latest flight status updates via SMS or email, customers are advised to update their contact details in Manage My Booking at www.dragonair.com.
