Uber riders can now pay through AlipayHK

Brand-new AlipayHK and Uber users may claim promos and discounts.

Uber Partners and AlipayHK have started their strategic partnership by offering an additional AlipayHK payment option for Uber app users.

AlipayHK users can now connect their accounts to their existing Uber account and choose Alipay as the payment option for their booked trips via Uber. To use it, users must navigate the app, select “Wallet” under “Account” and connect to “AlipayHK” as their preferred payment method.

As for Uber app users, riders can select AlipayHK as their main payment choice, and charges will be subtracted once their rides are completed.

“Uber is keen to continuously upgrading our app to provide better platform experiences for all - Uber’s partnership with AlipayHK not only provides an additional payment option for our riders, we believe it can also cater to different needs amongst our app’s users and enhance trip convenience for all Hong Kongers,” Estyn Chung, General Manager of Uber Hong Kong, stated.

As part of the partnership, brand-new users from AlipayHK and Uber will be eligible for promos, discounts, and rewards.
