SmarTone launches partnership with international mobile top-up platform Ding

The service will help expats living in Hong Kong to send mobile top-ups to their families back home.

Hong Kong telecommunications provider SmarTone has partnered with international mobile top-up platform Ding to provide international mobile top-up to SmarTone’s product offering through the MySIMAccount App.

Under the new partnership, SmarTone prepaid customers will be able to send international mobile top-up to family and friends back home in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, directly from their MySIMAccount App. The partnership gives SmarTone’s customer access to Ding’s network of 550+ mobile operators, covering 95% of the population.

The partnership aims to service the wide range of expats living in Hong Kong to help them top-up families who own prepaid mobile phones.

“By partnering with Ding we will be able to provide our users with a simple, safe and secure way to send mobile airtime top-up back home and help them connect with their loved ones in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia,” said SmarTone’s head of marketing and sales Josephine Lam.
