Juhuasuan Overseas launched in Hong Kong

Online shopping site to offer merchandise and services from selected Taobao Marketplace sellers.

Alibaba Group also launched Juhuasuan Overseas in Taiwan. Juhuasuan Overseas is a combination of C2C retail platform Taobao and group shopping site Juhuasuan.

Juhuasuan Overseas offers between 12 and 20 new group shopping deals daily, and will begin selling localized lifestyle services and travel deals to Hong Kong customers in a few weeks.

It will offer merchandise and services from selected Taobao sellers in the same daily deals format as the original Juhuasuan accessible only to customers in mainland China since cross-border shipping is not supported.

Juhuasuan Overseas will leverage Taobao Marketplace and Tmall.com’s 1.4 million existing customers in Hong Kong. Tmall.com is one of Alibaba Group’s B2C e-commerce platforms.

Juhuasuan is China’s top group-buying site with over a third of the market, or double the share held by its next largest competitor, Meituan.

Alibaba is a privately owned family of Internet-based E-Commerce businesses that cover business-to-business online marketplaces, retail and payment platforms, shopping search engine and data-centric cloud computing services.
