Phase 7 of HOS flats scheme unveiled

But only 23 applicants arrived.

According to a report, the Housing Authority started arranging for successful applicants under the sale of surplus Home Ownership Scheme flats Phase 7 to select units in accordance with the order of priority.

Up to 4pm, of the 36 applicants invited, 23 had arrived at the authority's Customer Service Centre at Lok Fu to select flats. Out of a total of 832 flats, 21 were selected.

Tin Chung Court's Chung Po House and Chung Ho House hold 640 of the flats. The blocks' foundations were strengthened in 2003 and both have been declared safe. The authority is providing a 20-year structural guarantee for the blocks from today.

The contractor has conducted performance tests, repairs and replacement works to all finishes and fittings of flats in the two blocks. All windows have also been checked for proper functioning.

The authority said it will fix defects found after handover, which were not caused by the buyers' improper conduct or negligence.
