Hong Kong's property sales dropped crashed 50.7% in August

375,700 land-register searches were made.

In a report, the Land Registry announced that the number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units in August was 5,111, down 6.9% on July, and a decline of 50.7% year-on-year.

The total consideration for these agreements was $30.1 billion, up 8.9% on July, but a decline of 44.4% year-on-year.

The total consideration for these agreements in residential units was $19.6 billion, down 6.8% on July, and a decline of 50.8% year-on-year.

The public made 375,700 land-register searches, down 6.2% on July, and down 24.4% year-on-year.
