Hong Kong approves 15 building plans in February
Occupation permits cover 1,068 housing units.
Hong Kong’s Buildings Department approved 15 building plans in February and issued occupation permits for buildings comprising 1,068 housing units.
The approved plans included nine apartment or apartment-commercial developments, two community services projects, and four factory or industrial developments, with nine in the New Territories, three on Hong Kong Island, and three in Kowloon.
The department also gave consent for works to begin on nine building projects, which, on completion, will provide 19,032 sq m of domestic gross floor area across 226 units and 56,346 sq m of non-domestic gross floor area.
It separately received notification of the commencement of superstructure works for one building project.
Occupation permits issued during the month covered buildings providing 81,216 sq m of domestic gross floor area and 90,080 sq m of non-domestic gross floor area, with projects located across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
The department also received 2,115 reports of unauthorised building works in February and issued 544 removal orders.
