Home sales down in October

Number of sale and purchase agreements received by the Land Registry dropped 53.3%.

A report by the Information Services Department said, “The Land Registry received 5,675 sale and purchase agreements for registration in October, down 13.7% on September and a fall of 53.3% year on year.”

Of these, there were 4,643 agreements for residential units or a 51.4% decline year on year.

The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements for residential units, according to the report, was down 50% year on year to $22.5 billion.
