HK property sales drop 10.4% in January
Total consideration for these agreements reached $36.7b,
The Land Registry logged 4,938 sale and purchase agreements for all building units in January, a 10.4% drop from December 2024 but a 12.2% increase year-on-year.
The total consideration for these agreements fell 14.2% month-on-month to $36.7b, but rose 9.1% from January 2024.
Residential unit agreements totalled 3,626, down 11.6% from December 2024, but up 4.3% from a year earlier. The total consideration for residential units was $26.7b, down 17.9% from December 2024 and 3.8% lower year-on-year.
There were 334,421 land register searches in January.
