Flat sale to slash 70% off prices

1,000 families are slated to benefit from it.

According to a release, Chief Executive CY Leung says he believes the pre-sale of nearly 1,000 flats at 70% of the market price next week will help satisfy the housing needs of 1,000 families.

Speaking today after inspecting the Greenview Villa site - a subsidised Housing Society project in Tsing Yi - Mr Leung reiterated that resolving housing issues tops the Government’s agenda.

In his election manifesto, he said he proposed to provide more public housing for those in need and to help the middle class acquire flats, noting Greenview Villa is the first such project to achieve these aims since he took office.
