CCL Index rose for third consecutive week

Home prices at highest since September 2013.

The Centa-City Leading Index rose for the third consecutive week, with last week's 1.06 percent w/w increase the largest weekly gain since April 6 of this year, when the CCL rose 1.36 percent.

According to a research note on Hong Kong property by Barclays, this gain puts Hong Kong home prices up 1.76 percent year to date and are at their highest level since September 2013.

The report also noted that similar to the week prior, home price increases were most notable in the New Territories, with New Territories West rising 3.02 percent w/w and New Territories East up 2.37 percent w/w.

By comparison, Barclays noted that home price changes were more muted on Hong Kong Island (+0.57% w/w) and Kowloon (down 0.19% w/w).
