CCL home price index rebounds with measly 0.52% w/w increase

Nearly regaining previously lost ground.

The CCL home price index rose 0.52% w/w to 126.80 and nearly regained all of the previous week’s lost ground.

According to a research note from Barclays, at 126.80, it only remains a shade below the all-time high of 126.94 that was set just two weeks ago.

While the previous week’s decline was driven by a correction in Hong Kong Island home prices, this week it led the performance with a weekly gain of 1.53%.

In the other regions, home prices were also generally up with New Territories West up by 0.75% and Kowloon prices up by 0.45%.

New Territories East was the only district to show a drop with its 0.13% w/w correction.
