Commerce & Economic Development Bureau appoints Kevin Lam as Fund Management Board Chairman

Mr Kevin Lam will take over starting 15 October.

According to a government release, Kevin Lam has been appointed as Travel Industry Compensation Fund Management Board Chairman for terms of two years with effect from October 15, the Commerce & Economic Development Bureau announces.

Michelle Ip has been re-appointed as a member for two years from the same day. Other members include Chan Kam-lam, Connie Lau, Jimmy Poon, Ada Tse, Joseph Tung and Michael Wu.

The bureau thanked the retiring Chairman Ignatius Chan. It also said the newly appointed Chairman Kevin Lam, who worked as a member of the board and the Chairman of its Investment Committee, has made invaluable contributions in the past five years.

The board holds, manages and applies the Travel Industry Compensation Fund.
