Shipping Legislation and Rating bills set for second reading

The LegCo is also preparing to read the Hotel Tax Ordinance amendment.

The Legislative Council (LegCo) will have the second reading for Shipping Legislation and Rating bills on Wednesday, 23 October.

Once the council has reviewed the bills and accepted the committee’s report, the bills will move to their third reading.

Meanwhile, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury will propose a resolution for the amendment of the Hotel Accommodation Tax Ordinance.

On the other hand, members of the committee moved a motion on developing land to promote the development of the economy and a motion to follow up on measures for new migrant talents to integrate into Hong Kong.
