Gov’t probes T-PARK’s exceedance of emission standards

This included the half-hourly average concentration.

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) said it is investigating the short-term exceedance of emission standards of total organic carbon from T-PARK's flue stacks from October 2023 to July this year.

This included the half-hourly average concentration and the hourly average emission rate. Meanwhile, the daily average concentration and emission rate were maintained.

T-PARK’s contractor had different views on whether it had exceeded standard emissions and appealed against the department's investigation and the penalty imposed.

It also conducted its investigation and provided supplementary information to clarify the causes. To ensure impartiality, EPD has suspended the release of data reports during the period.

Nevertheless, the department has been closely monitoring all data, which showed that all other emission values comply with standards and requirements.
