GBA to form an online dispute resolution platform

The platform will integrate information and resources related to mediation and arbitration.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) will develop a collaborative online dispute resolution platform.

The platform aims to integrate information and resources related to mediation and arbitration. It will facilitate resource sharing for the benefit of the public and promote the use of mediation to resolve disputes.

It also considers the use of law tech and will set up a working group to promote Bay Area legal talent to study ways to enhance collaboration.
The government will set up a dedicated office and an expert group to take forward the policy initiative in the 2023 Policy Address to establish the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy.

This initiative will support Hong Kong’s effort to advance its legal system in foreign-related affairs by leveraging Hong Kong’s bilingual common law system.
