ZA Bank partners with TransUnion to offer credit alert service for free
It notifies of new credit accounts opened under their name, amongst others.
ZA Bank is collaborating with TransUnion in Hong Kong to offer the TransUnion Credit Alert Service.
The Hong Kong digital bank’s users can access the service through the ZA Bank app for free. The service will notify them of changes to their credit report.
This includes new credit report enquiries for loan and credit card applications, new credit accounts opened under their name, and changes to addresses or phone numbers.
The move comes after a December 2024 research by TransUnion found that nearly half (44%) of surveyed customers in Hong Kong were targeted by fraud through online, email, phone call, or text message channels in a three-month period.
