Walter Liu appointed as new American Express’ head of Asia Region

He will manage American Express teams across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand.

American Express said Walter Liu, the managing director of the Hong Kong branch, will be the new head of APAC.

The recently created role will be responsible for dealings of American Express branches across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand.

Liu is an experienced business leader and risk management expert with over 20 years of service with American Express.

“I believe that our dedicated colleagues and the experienced country management teams will continue to be the key factors in owning the premium space, in capitalizing on cross-border opportunities, building long-lasting partnerships, and in growing a relevant, scalable, and sustainable business for our future,” Liu said.
