TKO-Lam Tin Tunnel opens in December

The tunnel is a new route between Tseung Kwan O and Kwun Tong. 

The Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel and Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O will be accessible starting from 11 December. 

According to Transport & Logistics Bureau, the tunnel and the Cross Bay Link serves as a new route between Tseung Kwan O and Kwun Tong as well as the Eastern Harbour Crossing. 

The tunnel with a length of about 3.8 kilometre is expected shorten the time between LOHAS Park and Kwun Tong Town Centre by up to 20 minutes during peak hours.

The Tunnel also links the Cross Bay Link and Po Shun Road in the east and the Eastern Harbour Crossing, Cha Kwo Ling Road in Kwun Tong and the Trunk Road T2 under construction in the west. 

The department noted it will be waiving toll charges for the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel and Tseung Kwan O Tunnel from 11 December.
