Seven in 10 consumers want personalised discounts from favourite shops

The majority said they will download apps for rewards.

The majority of Hong Kong shoppers said they wanted to be rewarded for being loyal as 70% want personalised discounts from their favourite retailers, an Adyen study showed.

The research also found that 73% of consumers will download a retailer's app for loyalty rewards. However, the study found that 68% of retailers do not have any formal loyalty programmes.

Six in 10 shoppers also prefer retailers who recall their preferences and past shopping behaviours.

Adyen commissioned Opinium LLP to survey 36,000 consumers and Censuswide to poll 12,000 businesses globally, including 1,000 consumers in Hong Kong and 521 Hong Kong businesses.
